What is Pretender to the Flame?

Pretender to the Flame is an adventure kit written with Worlds Without Number*  in mind, though it is easily converted to other OSR systems. This kit allows you to quickly design your own adventure to fit a variety of power levels or any size of adventuring party. Match the adventure to your play group’s preferred style and easily use only the bits you like. The kit is a 24 page 5x8 booklet with all the locations, antagonists, and situations you need to run a short campaign in this ash covered forest. Slot this kit into an existing sandbox, make it a contained campaign, or just take pieces the choice is yours.

What Is In This Booklet?

This booklet presents a set of factions, antagonists, and locations that you can use in your game.  It includes:

• The new adventure region of the Reisen forest, a dense expansive forest blanketing a mountain river basin
• 5 Faction and Forces each working towards their own goals
• 5 Exploration Locations to delve into
• Each Exploration Location has specific destinations to discover and investigate such as: temples, ruins, and cities
